Trauma, Awakening & Integration Keynotes
THE JOURNEY BACK TO YOURSELF
As a trauma informed keynote speaker, I work with conferences exploring trauma, healing, awakening, and what it really takes to come home to yourself.
There comes a moment in many people’s lives when the strategies that helped them survive no longer help them live.
That is where this work begins.
Beneath anxiety, burnout, addiction, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and disconnection are often adaptations that once kept us safe. My work explores what happens when those protective patterns are met with curiosity instead of judgment, creating the conditions for people to reconnect with themselves.
Drawing on decades of personal healing, trauma-informed practice, somatic work, and psychedelic integration, I speak from lived experience rather than theory. These keynotes don’t ask people to become someone new. They invite them to remember who they were before life taught them to disconnect from themselves.
“Kirsty truly was the highlight of the event. She brought each of us to a very impactful, present moment immediately into the program. I was mesmerized with how open and vulnerable she was & it really made me look deeper into myself. ”

RECLAIMING THE SELF BEFORE THE WORLD REWROTE THE SCRIPT
Who were you before you learned who you had to be?
Many of us build lives that look successful from the outside while feeling disconnected on the inside. We become the achiever, the caregiver, the perfectionist, the one who always has it together, without ever stopping to ask who we were before those roles became our identity.
At 40, Kirsty’s own carefully constructed life began to unravel as repressed memories surfaced and the version of herself she had spent years performing could no longer hold. That experience became the doorway into a deeper understanding of trauma, healing, and what it truly means to return to ourselves.
This keynote explores how the adaptations that once helped us survive can quietly shape our relationships, our work, and the way we move through the world. Through honest storytelling and practical reflection, audiences are invited to consider what becomes possible when we stop performing who we’ve learned to be and begin reconnecting with who we’ve always been.
Audience Experience
- Understand how protective patterns are formed and why they often continue long after they’re needed.
- Explore the difference between surviving and truly living.
- Reflect on the roles and identities that may no longer serve you.
- Leave with a deeper understanding of what it means to begin the journey back to yourself.
Ideal For
Trauma-informed conferences, mental health and wellbeing events, healthcare professionals, educators, first responders, and audiences exploring healing, resilience, and personal transformation.
WHY YOUR SECRETS ARE KEEPING YOU SICK
What we hide doesn´t disappear. It simply finds another way to be heard.
We live in a culture that rewards the polished exterior while millions quietly carry shame, grief, and unspoken history beneath the surface. We wonder why we’re exhausted, why our systems feel overwhelmed, why our bodies begin speaking in ways we can no longer ignore, forgetting that hiding the truth costs energy every single day.
For years, Kirsty stood on global stages teaching courage while carrying a secret of her own, one she would later share publicly in her TEDx talk. This keynote goes beyond that story, exploring the hidden cost of shame, the burden of keeping parts of ourselves locked away, and why healing begins when we no longer have to carry everything alone.
This isn’t about telling everyone your story. It’s about understanding the energy it takes to keep parts of ourselves hidden and what becomes possible when we begin meeting those parts with honesty, compassion, and curiosity.
Audience Experience
- Understand the relationship between shame, secrecy, and chronic emotional burden.
- Recognize the protective roles we develop to hide pain and keep functioning.
- Explore why honesty with ourselves is often the beginning of genuine healing.
- Leave with a new perspective on self-compassion, authenticity, and emotional freedom.
Ideal For:
Mental health conferences, trauma and recovery events, women’s conferences, healthcare organisations, wellbeing summits, and audiences exploring shame, resilience, and healing.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CEREMONY ENDS
An insight is not an embodiment.
We’re often taught to chase the breakthrough, the ceremony, the profound moment of insight. Yet transformation isn’t measured by what happens in an altered state of consciousness. It’s measured by how we return to ordinary life and who we become once we’re there.
When Kirsty’s global speaking career unexpectedly came to a halt, she stepped into nearly a decade of deep healing and integration, documenting more than one hundred medicine journeys alongside the daily practice of bringing those insights into ordinary life. What she discovered is that the real ceremony begins after the ceremony ends.
This keynote explores what it truly means to integrate insight into the body, relationships, leadership, and everyday life. Because lasting transformation isn’t found in chasing the next experience. It’s built through the often unseen practice of living what we’ve learned.
Audience Experience
- Understand why integration is the foundation of meaningful and lasting transformation.
- Explore the difference between insight and embodied change.
- Learn principles that support long-term integration after profound experiences.
- Leave with a grounded understanding of how deep healing becomes part of everyday life.
Ideal For:
Psychedelic conferences, plant medicine gatherings, integration communities, trauma-informed practitioners, facilitators, therapists, coaches, and audiences interested in the intersection of healing, consciousness, and personal transformation.
